What Makes Refuge City Different?
Diverse
We serve both male and female youth who have experienced sexual abuse, exploitation, or trafficking, with support from Spanish and Vietnamese translators.
EXPERIENCED
With 13 years of proven impact, Refuge City is backed by a dedicated team and led by a CEO serving on the North Texas Coalition Against Human Trafficking board.
EFFECTIVE
None of our Restorative Care Program graduates have returned to trafficking, with many overcoming addiction, earning GEDs or college degrees, securing stable jobs, and achieving long-term housing.
Patient
The average relapse rate back to trafficking is 7–10 times, but our team’s expertise in trauma, trafficking, and trust-based relationships (TBRI) makes a lasting difference.
FAMILY-Focused
Family breakdowns create vulnerabilities that traffickers exploit. Our programs focus on restoring a trusted family unit for each Overcomer.
