    How do I make a grant from my donor-advised fund?

    Once you’re ready to donate, you have the option to either recommend a donor-advised fund grant online or by contacting your fund manager.

    Is my DAF donation tax deductible?

    Yes, 100% of your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by US law.

    Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?

    Yes, after your donation payment is confirmed via your charitable sponsor, you will receive a receipt from your charitable sponsor. This is the only receipt you will need for IRS purposes.

    Please include your name and address with your grant if you would like to receive an additional receipt from Refuge City at the end of the year.

    How can I make Refuge City the beneficiary of my DAF?

    Not everyone wants to commit to making a gift in their wills or estates. Some prefer the increased flexibility that a beneficiary designation provides by using:

    • IRAs and retirement plans
    • Life insurance policies
    • Donor advised funds
    • Commercial annuities

    It is very simple to name Refuge City as a beneficiary. Start by requesting a change-of-beneficiary form from your policy administrator or download the form from your provider’s website. Make your desired changes and return the form to establish your gift.
